Tiesto is coming to Dallas on Oct 24 and San Antonio on Oct 25. Tickets go on sale very soon. I'm leaning toward San Antonio since it is reasonable for a one-day excursion. Anybody interested?

Gotta go back to work tomorrow. Wah. Might try for a half day or thereabouts so I can head out to Flat Creek and help with the cleanup and truck load. I'll be at the warehouse on Sunday evening for the truck unload -- y'all are welcome to come by and help with that too. 7pm. :)
Ended up going to Dallas - was gone for almost exactly 24 hours. Had a lot of fun and got to see a fair number of people.. it'll be the last time I see them for a few months, probably. You folks need to move down here, dammit.
Okay, time to go back into the real world for a while.

The first six people to respond to this post will get something made by me. It will be about or tailored to those six who respond first.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make - What I create will be just for you - It'll be done this year - You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a mix tape. It may be fic, or a poem. I may draw or paint something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! - I reserve the right to do something extremely strange
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

One day f(x) threw a party for all of his function friends.
All of the functions were there: ex, πr2, i2, even some old-school guys like |x|. Anyway, ex is sitting all alone in a corner acting morose. His good friend, 2x, approaches him and says, "Come on, integrate yourself into the party!"
ex looks at him and says, "Why? It's not going to make a difference!"

I have not said much on here lately. The words are all there and I frequently compose posts or replies in my head but I have not had the time and motivation at the same time to sit down and relate them to others in a good while. Here is a little something.
We're all moved. For the handful of you didn't read it from jenmarie, our landlord notified us right before Flipside that he had decided to sell the house and wanted us gone asap. Our lease was at that point month to month so we had little room to negotiate.
Moving is normally a pain in the ass even when there are no unexpected problems, but this.. ugh. I appreciate all the offers of help, but unfortunately the timing (and at times my demeanor) prevented me from accepting most of it.
We rented a 26 foot truck from U-Haul last Monday. It was an ancient diesel standard transmission. I filled it with boxes and bins and the like, made a run to the new place and unloaded it by myself during the day. We hired some movers Monday evening to load the truck up with furniture and other items that I didn't want to mess with by myself. Once the truck was full, we took off for the new place.
It was just after dark when we left and the cab had no internal light, which meant that when the clutch burned up on the highway, I couldn't even find the damn hazard lights. (Note to self: Locate the hazard light switch before driving anywhere in a U-Haul). I managed to coast off the highway into a parking lot, and then I caught a ride to the new house from the movers who were (thankfully!) driving behind me.
Major Suckage. I'd mentally and physically prepped myself to work all night making a third run with the truck for all the detritus and assorted stuff left behind. Obviously, this did not happen.
To their credit, and much to my surprise, U-Haul stepped up and took good care of us.
The truck was towed to the new place on Tuesday and I managed to get the same crew out to unload it Tuesday evening...
...Naomi is awake from her nap so I'll finish this later.
